Our Story
As two working professionals with children in primary school, we got involved in PTA fundraising — and quickly realised how hard it is for parents and caregivers to manage school merchandise.
We learned the hard way that trying to design, promote, and sell branded gear to raise money for the school was almost impossible to do well.
From chasing down suppliers for leavers hoodies to managing spreadsheets, group orders, and delivery logistics, it often felt like we’d taken on an unpaid second job. And when the boxes finally arrived — we still had to hand everything out!
We did it because we know just how much schools rely on voluntary fundraising to support vital things like children’s mental health, sports equipment, art and book weeks — all hugely valuable, and all desperately underfunded.
That’s when we had the idea for Spirit Ink.
Spirit Ink is a streamlined, print-on-demand spirit wear service that operates online stores on behalf of schools. Each school gets its own dedicated storefront, featuring custom-designed items tailored to their community — no admin, no stock holding, and no stress.
Parents simply order the items they want in the size and colour they need. Spirit Ink then handles everything behind the scenes — from design and production to fulfilment and customer support — and ensures that proceeds go directly back to the school.
No more clipboards, spreadsheets, or burned-out PTA volunteers.
What used to be a huge job is now a simple, seamless process — from start to finish.
