We start with the supplierās base priceāfor example, a t-shirt that costs us Ā£8.65. We then add a service fee that covers our costs such as website maintenance, transaction fees, product development, and salaries. This fee also allows us to maintain a modest profit so we can continue investing in our mission to support schools.
The school, as the principal seller, sets the final retail price and has the option to apply a markup of 20%, 40%, or 60%. All additional funds from the schoolās markup go directly to supporting their initiatives and programs. In some cases, parents can also choose to āname their priceā to contribute more if they wish.
